The N.K.Roerich Central-Asiatic Expedition took a special place among the expeditions and travels of the  XIX-XX centuries, it can’t be compared with any of them. It passed through Sikkim, India, China, Moscow, Siberia, Altai, Mongolia, and Tibet. The expedition is of great evolution importance. During the expedition there were conducted investigations and actions connected with cosmic evolution. Nikolai Konstantinovich, Yelena Ivanovna, Yury Nikolaevich Roerichs took part in them.  During the expedition unique scientific materials were gathered, first-rate artistic canvases by the brush of N.K.Roerich were created.  N.K. Roerich and Yu.N. Roerichs published diaries of great scientific significance.

The reports were given by General Director of the Nicholas Roerich Museum, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and K.E.Tsiolkovsky Russian Academy of Cosmonautics, Honoured Worker of Arts L.V.Shaposhnikova; Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation Ye.P.Chelyshev, Professor A.V.Fedotov (Bulgaria); Director of S.I.Vavilov  Institute of History, Natural Science and Engineering of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honoured Worker of Science and Engineering, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences  A.V.Postnikov;  Doctor of Philosophy, Professor  A.V.Ivanov (Barnaul);

Speakers pointed out the great evolution importance of the N.K.Roerich Central Asiatic Expedition and its high scientific merits. Geographical and historical studies, conducted en route of the expedition were unique and they introduced into science new discoveries.  The most of the speakers investigated the expedition problems from the standpoint of “Living Ethics”.

At the same time the speakers mentioned that at present there become more frequent the facts of slanderous character, blackening N.K.Roerich’s activity and misrepresenting the aims of the expedition and “Living Ethics” Teaching (dissertations of V.A.Rosov and N.E.Samokhina (Moscow), I.V.Otroshchenko (Kiev).  In contrast to the previous years the theses were confirmed as doctoral ones. Their appearance is the evidence of the lowering of requirements to defending theses and the lack of proper scientific preparedness in those who conducts such defenses.

While the great part of the documents and archive materials about the  N.K.Roerich Central-Asiatic Expedition is illegally held in Yu.N.Roerich’s flat by a certain Vasilchik and is squandered by him.

Yet it should be noted that the N.K.Roerich Central-Asiatic Expedition is not so far officially recognized   in geographical science and remains to be little known in the scientific public, there is no corresponding articles in encyclopedias.  Such circumstances bring up serious scientific problems for the given and subsequent conferences.
